That's definite progress. Though, it sounds like it's still as much in legal limbo as buying bootlegged merchandise off the street. You won't get in trouble for buying it, but you still have to buy it from someone who's committing a crime.

With the further complication that what you're doing really is illegal under federal law, the DEA just isn't interested in enforcing very minor drug charges.

Actually, it's STILL illegal to buy it unless you have a medical marijuana card [then you can get it at a dispensary]. They figure it'll take about a year to iron out the details of purchase.
