David Mitchell is one flannel shirt away from being able to blend perfectly into 1970's rural Canada.

While this wasn't particularly funny, I really feel his point. As someone who doesn't drink I can tell you it's a huge social hurdle. Either you stay home from the bar and guarantee boredom or you go and end up isolated in your friends' presence because nobody can relate to you.
