Audra was pulled over and given two tickets...

After a rough year spent in and out of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for a rare, life-threatening condition, a Saukville teenager got a Christmas surprise from her dad. The big surprise wasn’t only the gift — but how he delivered it.

About a year ago, Marc Daniloff almost lost his daughter to a rare condition. “Called Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, also known as HLH,” said Daniloff.
It attacked Audra’s immune system and put her in Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin for 58 days. She’s been back countless times for treatment.

“She had about a 20 percent chance of getting out of there alive,” said Daniloff.

YT: Bad Dad or Good Dad? The look on her face should help you decide. With all that Audra has been through, I decided to surprise her with a special gift this year. Thanks to Saukville Police Department Chief Jeff Goetz and Officer Brandon Depies for helping me to deliver the news. And thanks to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, without whom this moment would not have been possible.

Alright, since you insist....

First, while nice, this is technically misuse of police equipment.
Second, I think it's really illegal to pull someone over for this type of purpose...if not it should be. That girl was terrified, what if she had panicked and run from the cop, or crashed, or dropped dead due to her medical condition? EDIT: It would have been better to pull in behind her once she parked at home, IMO.
Third, does this department really have so little to do that they can take time out to hear the plan, stake out the daughter, and then do the stop? I hope no other crime was ignored because that cop was busy...they claim to be overworked and under staffed, this seems to contradict those claims.

Feel better now?

But but where are the police haters now?

Strange, all I saw was a nice interaction with an officer and a citizen. I would find it tough to enjoy life with your level of cynicism. I probably shouldn't have made my initial comment as it was kinda baity, but I did mark it as sarcasm.

I don't think it's legal to use force (which is what a traffic stop is) to have a nice interaction. Even if you're handing out money, it is not proper. But then I believe in the 4th amendment.

Sarcasm, yes...as was my reply. Did you miss that part?

@mintbbb and by "lately" I mean the last 207 upvotes from NetRunner have just been for your sifts. No one else's. He has voted 207 times for you over the last 3 months but not one vote for anyone else. Or a comment. Or anything.

Ok, you do sift some popular stuff, and I know cross-posting from buzzfeed etc isn't easy, but is NetRunner only allowed to upvote your videos now?

@speechless Net hasn't been interested in getting involved in a LONG time now. I have told him that Choggie isn't around any more, but that hasn't changed his mind. I think he just burned himself with arguing here or something. Personally I am happy he isn't getting upset over VS stuff any more.

I also don't think he has access to VS from work any more like he used to.

I don't sift much any more, but when I do, I nudge him towards my unsifted queue, and he's kind enough to just check it out/upvote either before going to work or at lunch. Since it bothers you, I won't ask him any more.

I doubt he wants to start sifting again, but I'll let him know he's missed.

wonderful. beautiful.

(We need a smiling face, teary-eyed emoticon; I thought this would do it but that's the monocle smile.)

P.S. Not paying any attention to any drama about the police and blah blah blah.

Just look at the beautiful look of joy in her innocent eyes. It's very heartwarming and tear-jerking.

Well that's a relief. I was getting the silly thought in my head that you were using his account to cast votes for yourself, since his votes were generally cast within seconds of you submitting a sift. Glad to know that's not the case! Sorry for the bother your grand mintness!
